The restaurant manager supports and assists the general manager, to ensure the successful operation of the entire restaurant. At Wings, the restaurant manager:
- Is responsible for the overall restaurant
- Prepares schedules, and is conscious of labour management
- Ensures guest satisfaction and service recovery
- Is responsible for compliance with all company standards and health codes
- Is responsible for the cleanliness of the restaurant
- Trains, develops, and coaches all supervisors and staff
- Assists the GM in growing the business and building a strong restaurant team
- Prepares performance appraisals for supervisors & staff (with input from supervisors) for review with GM
- Hires all levels of staff with GM oversight
- Addresses disciplinary issues and issue documentation after reviewing with GM
- Manages the communications to restaurant staff (with the assistance of supervisors)
- Conscious of food management and ordering
